Payroll Specialist / Bookkeeper

Description:

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist/Bookkeeper with a minimum of 3-5 years professional
experience. In this role you will provide a variety of Bookkeeping and Payroll services to our
clients. Some duties include maintaining financial records, record purchases, sales receipts, and
payments for our business clients. Accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail are vital to
providing services to our clients. The role does require you to work onsite at our Turlock office.

Responsibilities:

  • Payroll processing
    • Verify employee work hours
    • Issue deductions and earnings
    • Distribute payrolls
    • Administer statements of payment
    • Keep track of hours, rates, wages
    • Address issues or questions regarding payroll
  • Prepare quarterly tax returns and year-end closing filings
  • Maintain accurate payroll records
  • Maintain accurate records of all reports
  • Reconcile bank statements on a monthly basis; monitor balances to ensure positive flow
  • Maintain organized files and records
  • Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable (AP & AR)
  • General journal entries

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience is required
  • Certified Bookkeeper and/or Payroll Specialist
  • Proficient in Accounting CS, Quickbooks, SAGE, and Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail on all projects
  • Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, thrive and adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
