Our firm was founded in 1947, by Carl Hillberg. His goal was to help and guide the clients of the central valley towards the best decisions for their personal and business tax situations. Fast forward 76 years later, our current Managing Partner, David Rose, who has been with the firm for over 20 years, brings his extensive background experience in audits and public accounting to our firm. He is a CPA, CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), and CFF (Certified in Financial Forensics).
We want to meet the current and future needs of our clients and help them cultivate long-term successes. Our firm strives to provide professional and exceptional service while maintaining the highest levels of honesty and integrity.
Receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from Berkeley, Robert went on to obtain his MBA in Accounting and Finance soon after. He was the Managing Partner of the firm from 1988 until 2021. He has reduced his management role to focus on financial planning. With the goal of providing guidance to clients for some of the most interesting decisions in their lives, Rob is driven to bring value to all his clients. In his spare time, Rob loves to Golf and enjoys studying the lives of successful and interesting people.
A Stan State Alumni, David graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. He attended Golden Gate University for graduate coursework and began his career with Hillberg & Company in 2000. Coming in as a CPA, David has a background in auditing business and not-for-profit organizations. As the firm’s Managing Partner, David enjoys working with business owners and consulting with them for their business and personal goals. Away from work, David has his pilot license with an IFR rating, enjoys scuba diving, traveling with his wife Elena, spending time with his family, and reading mostly non-fiction books including history and bios.
A Stan State Alumni, Beverly joined Hillberg & Company 10 years ago. She is a specialist in Payroll and is working towards becoming a Certified Payroll Professional. When she is not at work, she enjoys reading, hikes, and traveling. Her passion to grow her knowledge extends in her work when processing payroll for clients.
Ricky joined Hillberg & Company in 2019. Graduating from Stan State in 2020, Ricky has gained great experience in all aspects of public accounting while being at the firm. With goals of becoming a licensed CPA, Ricky wants to become a resource in his community to help and guide his clients with their financial needs. In his spare time, you can catch Ricky watching all the San Francisco 49er and Golden State Warriors games.
Joining the Hillberg & Company team as their first Firm Administrator in 2021, Katrin brings her background in Communication Studies from Stan State to the firm with the goal of cultivating a positive and balanced work environment. Since being at Hillberg & Company, Katrin has learned a great deal about the CPA world and has grown in her position. When she is not working, Katrin enjoys spending time with her husband Stephen, cooking, traveling, and being with her family.
Bringing a smile and her extensive experience in finance and administration, Lesa has been with Hillberg & Company since 2015. She has been the jack of all trades during her time at the firm. Lesa is a Notary Public and a member of the National Notary Association. She and her husband Sam have 3 kids, and are grandparents to 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. When she is not at work, Lesa loves spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is very creative and loves to work on crafts and is very involved in her community church.
Using her degree in Accounting from Stan State, Natalie has been at Hillberg & Company for over 15 years. Loving what she does, her goal is to help and educate all those around, both clients and fellow colleagues while being efficient and fast. Natalie is known to be a Quickbooks expert, as many clients and colleagues count on her expertise! And every time you see her, she has always has a smile on her face!
Being in the Finance field since 1995, Deanna brings experience in both the financial and administrative field to Hillberg & Company. Starting in an Administrative Role in 2008, Deanna has since advanced into an Associate role here at the firm. Focusing on Tax Preparation, Bookkeeping and Trust Accounting, she is a familiar face to many trusted clients. In her spare time, she loves making memories with her kids and crafting.
Noemi has been in the public accounting field since 2014. Bringing her calm and professional demeanor with her, she joined Hillberg & Company in 2018. Becoming a CPA is one of Noemi’s goals as she continues to provide exceptional help to clients in different areas of business. Out of work, Noemi loves to horseback ride and is most passionate about family.
Graduating with her Bachelor’s in Accounting and Operations Management, Kuljit joined the Hillberg & Company team in 2022. Expanding her knowledge and experience within this industry, Kuljit’s goal is to obtain her CPA license. Being passionate about learning new things, gaining new skills, and expanding her knowledge, she has been a great addition to our team. Outside of work Kuljit likes to travel and spend time with family and friends.
William graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, concentration in accounting. William has been with Hillberg & Company for 18 years. In his years working in the Public Accounting industry. He enjoys getting to know a variety of business professionals that he is able to help, with his extensive backgrounds in Tax Preparation, Financial Statement Preparation, Business Valuations, and consulting services. In his spare time William is an active member is the Turlock Rotary Club, Treasurer of the Turlock Regional Aviation Association, and member of the AICPA and CalCPA. He enjoys spending time with family, flying, quad riding, and skiing in his spare time.
Daniel earned an M.S. in Taxation from San Jose State University in 2019 and holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, Stanislaus. Being dually-licensed as a CPA and EA, as well as CCIFP (Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional), Daniel’s focus is to exceed client expectations and satisfaction. Building a trusted-advisor relationship based on honesty, integrity, and respect is very important to him as he is most passionate about helping people and businesses reach their fullest potential.
