Daniel is a Partner in the firm who works with closely-held businesses, entrepreneurs, high-income individuals, and retirees. Before joining Hillberg & Company in 2022, he worked for two larger public accounting firms in the San Joaquin Valley where he started his public accounting career in 2006. While he specializes in taxation for agricultural, real estate, and construction industries, he also has experience working with clients involved with manufacturing, food processing, affordable housing, technology, healthcare, other professional service industries, and clients classified as investors or traders, and more recently those involved in cryptocurrency transactions.
Daniel is dedicated to his clients and enjoys delivering strategic ideas and simplified solutions while staying on top of the tax law. Daniel enjoys working proactively for his clients as a trusted adviser, and his biggest reward is seeing his clients succeed in their business and personal endeavors.
Daniel is dually-licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in California and an Enrolled Agent (EA). He has also been granted the professional designation of Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP). Daniel earned an M.S. in Taxation from San Jose State University in 2019 and holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, Stanislaus.
Outside of work, Daniel enjoys traveling to visit new places with his wife and children, especially places where there is a beach or lake nearby.
